The Seven Deadly Sins

We're made for communion. God who is a communion of persons invites us through friendship with our Lord Jesus Christ to participate therein. It's communion all the way down from top to bottom. And so envy represents a threat towards this kind of communion based mentality of human existence. When we can cultivate these habits of mind and heart through friendship, through investment in our family, our polity, our church, then we can heal and grow beyond those limitations.
