The Historical Jesus of the Gospels
Historical questions about Jesus began to be raised only two centuries ago. The quest for the historical Jesus really began pretty much as soon as he left the scene around the 30s AD. Even the author of one of the four New Testament gospels shows an interest in searching out the facts, rather than opinions about the man from Nazareth. We go into a lot more detail about the quests for Jesus that happened before the so-called first quest of the Enlightenment.
