The Uprisings in Madagascar
An unknown number of rebels were killed, and total cost of the rebellion is estimated at around a hundred thousand. The french made it pretty clear that they had complete disregard for malegasy culture. Mallagasy protestants tended to support this new uprising, while malagasy catholics tend to oppose it and stay with the french.
