The Importance of Accountability in the Black Power Movement
A year ago there was a reporting of some misuse of funds from the black lives matter organization. We know that they were right wing organizations who dedicated themselves to dividing current conquer in that movement. So even when there might be internal contradictions within our movement, oftentimes those are exploited. It's better for them to play on our contradictions than to outright come in and kill you from their perspective because you kill a Malcolm X, you make a martyr, right? You kill somebody like apprentice bunchy Carter. He's a martyr,. But if it comes out he died in the crackouts or he was called selling crack. That's easier for them to undermine our entire movement by doing that.
