The Effects of Leucine on Muscle Protein Synthesis

The average American gets about 65% of their protein from animal-based proteins. Less than 25, you probably get no muscle effect. You'll get a liver effect. And it probably maxes out 60 to 60 grams, maybe 65. For muscle, the minimum level, people here is 30 grams. Where did that come from? Well, what we know is that the trigger after that overnight fast is an amino acid called leucine.
