Sally Kohn: I think what this whole series of these three essays do is really illustrate, I think a lot more clearly, honestly, how problematic the representation of sex is in its consequences. And you can see that to a certain extent there's, if we just stereotype the traditional quote unquote traditional mindset, which is fairly reactionary,. Maybe not as much as Freud's time but still a lot of those same presuppositions persist. The status quo remains and that's very crazy to look back and think that Freud wrote this in 1905 and here we are, you know, 115 plus years later.
