It's also much easier to correct a biased algorithm than it is to correct a whole lot of biased judges. We know that there have been differences based on race and how decision making gets done in the criminal system. So there's a question whether quantitative information and data science can play a role in reducing those disparities we've seen examples of quantitative approaches, helping to be biased decision making.
