In 1948, the year that he was found, the Cold War had just begun. A high security military base was built in a remote area north of Adelaide. Some people thought it was possible he'd come to spy on it. Derek Abbott came up with his own theory about what may have been going on at the time.

In 1948, two horse jockeys were riding on a beach in Australia when they came across a man lying in the sand. There was a partially smoked cigarette resting on his jacket. He was well dressed, with a striped tie and polished shoes. And he was dead.
