Greenwich village is where we're headed next. Across the street, where there's now a garden, was an enormous arteco prison. In terms of the gay community, it was famous and infamous. There were lesbians on the street that were shouting to their girl friends. Stonewall wasn't the only bar as far as lesbiean bars. The pony stable in ona, westfourth street, right offmaof washington square park. And the sea colony, which was very popular on eighth avenue just north of here. These were all a in existence as far as gaybars, gay mail bars.
