Napoleon and the Battle of Asterlitz
The grand arme was near the city of brune in the modern check republic. The two armies were so close that their outposts and picket lines were almost in contact. As napoleon walked through the camps his orders for the next day's combat were already in the hands of his officers. He ate a simple dinner, fried potatoes with onions, then curled up on a bed of straw next to a camp fire to get a few hours rest.
