Portraiture - Portraiture of the Brain
When I got better I contacted the neuro radiologist who'd done the procedure on me and he let me sit in with patient permission on a number of patients having procedures. And I built up a whole body of drawings and imagery based on what I was seeing on the monitors of the internal structure of their brains. Sometimes the artries of the brain looked to me like a sort of Japanese or Chinese landscape. When you see in the brain you see in nature and it was a complete inspiration for me.
