There was a sequel there's 2010 which i've never seen. I don't think kuberic had anything to do with it okay but is yeah is it informed by arthur c clark's writing about this or i think so. The optimistic view here would be that the star child has brought peace to an aggressive raceYeah stage one the dawn of man was war and everything the weapons and technology brought and stage two is now star child come to bring peace.
