Culture is still stuck in the second part of what you were saying. We're just on the continuum between bacterias to cockroaches, through to dogs and chimpanzees. Neato grass tison was talking about how chimpanzees are a lot smarter than what we think. And chimpanzees might be thinking about all sorts of stuff, but we're just not that much better. The artificial general intelligence gets us completely wrong too. Just add more compute power and you'll get intelligence when we don't really know what it is underneath that makes us creative.
