The Importance of Groups
Jonathan Moreno is a bioethicist and historian at the University of Pennsylvania. Like so many other Jewish intellectuals, he fled Europe sailing for New York in 1925. His philosophy was that acting things out taking on new roles could help people work out their problems just on the stage not on a couch. He gets his big break when he goes to the American Psychiatric Association meetings in Toronto in 1931.
