I think newspaper writing does sort of make you crack on with things a bit more rigorously. I've always felt like it's a blind spot that I when I was being asked to write when I was 21 I just didn't do it. Second book I love because it's such an attestment to like not hiding in any way and that's just like let's just show it. That's the fun of a book.
