The Power of the Courts to Change Society
In Europe, Finland and Sweden have a centralized healthcare bureaucracy. Here in the United States, you need to get together a legislative majority to pass a law. And then the ACLU is going to challenge that law in court in 100% of cases. So this is a good example of how medical policy is de facto set by non-governmental entities like the ACLU or The Alliance Defending Freedom.
