The Origin of the Word Hoose Bondy in Old English
The vikings brought that word with them to the dane law. In its sense as a dweller or possessor, it came to refer to a peasant who owned his own land or home. The same into european word also produced an english word used to describe the process of constructing a dwelling. So be, build and neighbor are all cognate english words.
