Is It Important to Test Both Serum and CSF Antibodies?
It's really important to test both serum and CSF. There are some exceptions where serum is more sensitive, but broadly speaking, particularly for the oncunuronal, CSF antibodies are an important confirmatory step. I think ideally, as close together as possible, but they don't have to be taken on the same day. And of course, always be guided by the clinical presentation as well.
