Is There a Similarity Between a Platform and a Government?

A lot of my students they go into work on in big tech right in Google and Amazon or so. I think there's a similarity between how our company manages its members and how governments manage citizens. They have immense power now, but without a commensurate level of accountability. Even Facebook found remark Zuckerberg himself as you may remember he once used that Facebook is more like a government, then a traditional company now. So I think this is super interesting why are people starting to see these analogies?
