The Idea of Eating the Inheritance

When somebody passes away, wata'kun-una-tor-a-tham, you eat the inheritance. This expression of eating inheritance was not used in Arab literature anywhere. What's Qur'an commenting on here is, when it comes to the inheritance distribution, the strong among you would quickly take everything and put it away or invest it, or use it up. They would eat it, so you can't even touch it anymore.
