Pinterest metrics are essentially stored in an open TSDB backend and we have an internal tool that is called SatsBoard. For a pre-submit test specifically we had a slightly more custom solution because we didn't want to go through the whole hassle of essentially since I mentioned it is every binary or every PR that we packaged into a deployable binary for testing would get deployed to just one or two hosts. So we needed a better way of isolating metrics for those two hosts rather than needing to go through this UI and filtering for those two host names to get the right set of metrics. And again, John, things happen differently in an early stage company versus when you're later.
