Can anyone pursue inquiry into either unless he has a knowledge of medicine? That is, can you actually test these claims unless you yourself have enough knowledge about medicine? Today we would say, can you do your own research on Google? Is that good enough? And now it cannot. No one at all, it would seem, except the physician can have this knowledge and therefore not the wise man. He would have to be a physician as well as a wise man. It's interesting that we've been battling that battle for more than 2,000 years. The second case is from Cicero where he harshly criticized people to believe in divination or astrology.
