The Tension Between Apostolic Authority and Carismatic Authority
Paul met with leaders, also with james, who is described in paul's writings as the brother of jesus. He stayed there for 15 days, right night and they worked out their differences. It seems that paul would preach among gentiles, whereas peter and his associates would preach among jews. They kind of divided up the world and divided up their their targets. And this probably made sense strategically, because paul was a greek speaker, and he was very erudite in greek.
