The Crying Sumo Festival in Japan
Dozens of bawling Japanese babies faced off on Saturday in a traditional crying sumo ritual believed to bring the infant's good health. This tournament has not been around for four years, but they're bringing it back with gusto and with tears. The rules vary from region to region in some places parents want their offspring to be the first to cry. In others the first to weep is the loser. It sounds like they're all over the place with their rules from district to district. I mean for what I see it's just the babies that traumatize as hell.
