The Importance of Collaboration in the Civil Service

Supervised to me is a word that conveys both an active sense like you need to be on top of things and an element of accountability. The role, I was very lucky when I first came to interior during the Bush administration, I ended up working in a very small office. In 2016, after the election, what we saw in the press in particular was a lot of media highlighting efforts to suggest that folks in the civil service should be resistant to the new president. That was frankly encouraged in the media.
