What Are the Different Ways of Connecting to the Internet?

When we first got the internet in my house, right, we use dial like it was. And so that was actually using the phone lines as our physical layer. We basically tapped out in the late 1990s at 56 kilobits per second. That's not a lot for modern applications like streaming video. What's been much more effective for broadband internet has been things like DSL or cable modems.
