The Honesty Question

I think what was really interesting to me is this sort of question of honesty again and I see it in the way that Starmer talks about public sector reform. There's this sense that reform and spending money are opposites and they're just not opposites. Reform costs money in the long run it might save you money, says Lord O'Neill. Labour ain't going to be able to educate the public and certain sections of the press in the time of the next general election so they can't go down that argument. So I think Labour has got to carry on with a safety first message.
