In ireland, legally, you don't have to play vat onstaple foods. Tattis is 23 % value added tax. And Bread is a staple food, so if you're selling bread, youdon't have to pay vat on that. In 20 22, the irish supreme court ruled that subways bread contains so much sugar that it must legally be defined as cake. So subway aren't allowed to call their bread bread.
