Is There a Role for Hydroxyethyl Starch in Sepsis?

Norepinephrine or epinephrine in the setting of at least septic shock would probably be the presser of first choice. We tend to use more norepinephrine in our ICU for the resuscitation septic shock. There aren't a lot of good data suggesting that there is a significant monoclonal benefit doing that.
