Did You Ever Want to Be a Performer?
I started playing out when i was 18. I didn't have any expectation of performing beyond the gigs that i was alrea doing, you know, playing to places that held 75 or a hundred people. By the time i got into the school of journalism, my main focus was performing. My objective in writing those stories was to spread the gospel of griffith, of eric taylor, of don sanders, of stephen framholz, or michael martin murphy. And i saw the power of that, and i just thought, wouldn't that be amazing to do something like that?
