David spares Saul's life when he could have killed him. I think that juxtaposition is just the idea of Saul following the waves of the world and then David knowing that God is going to fight those battles. So this is wonderful irony in every single one of the people we're talking about, the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart and Pharaoh hardened his heart.
