Rick Steves: I look at diversity in three ways. You have cash crop diversity, ok, so let's plant four species in this field. And then next year we're going to go to 16. That's number one. Number two, diversity is annuals and perennials. We do not think about this nough. If you look at the cover crop packages, they're almost all annuals. Now, i have to be very careful now though, john, because i'm organic, i use no tillage. And a perennial is almost suicide now on my farm. So i've got to be very selective on what i do."
