The Benefits of Femoral Lines in the Emergency Department
Femoral lines have a similar infection rate to internal jugular CVLs that we place. Most of these femoral lines probably should be changed out within a couple of days even if we're using the best sterile technique. Get a quick line and park the A-line right next door if you need it. This is a great line to be very savvy at using.
