Urban legends seem to consistently be based on a grain of truth. Fictional stories include made-up names, made-up places and made-up events. So the next time someone dismisses the body in the haunted house as nothing but an urban legend, remind them of Elmer McCurdy. It wasn't a haunted house where the man's long dead corpse hung from a set of gallows. It was a fun house, somewhere that no person's lifeless remains should ever be interred.
