Afghanistan is a landlockd country in central asia, about the size of france. It's highly mountainous in its centre, and on its edges you find plains and deserts. The country is practically 100% moslem, about 80 85 % suny, 15, 20 percent shia. But what we find is that the rural areas, the social values are relatively conservative - particularly when it comes to the roles of women.
