The Story of Poor Paul and His Siblings
Poor paul has a condition called congenital insensitivity to pain, which is a very rare disorder that has an underlying basis in his genetics. He and his two siblings have that condition because they've inherited two copies of the faulty jean - one from their mother and one from their father. Essentially, they've never been able to feel physical pain. And as a result, a they really have none of the lessons that really pain gives us so pain is intrinsic to the human experience.
