The Moral Foundations of Moral Psychology
The vast majority of people these days agree that racism is a bad thing. But they don't necessarily agree that income inequality is a good thing. There are social psychology papers that are framed around moral foundations theory, which says we should use moral outrage to get people more worked up about climate change. And so there's a kind of general sort of normative sense that climate change is bad and we do want people to take it more seriously than they do.
