The Dogma of the Blessed Virgin Mary
There were two ways in the Middle Ages that people thought they could answer this question right. St. Thomas Aquinas wanted to say she was sanctified in the womb, and therefore he preserved the integrity of Christ humanity which Jesus would have received from her. But as we've seen, the church has insisted no on actually the more difficult teaching,. So the dogma was solemnly declared in 1854 by Pope Pius IX in Fablez.
