Earlier versions of large language models that were cloud hosted literally had provisions in the terms and conditions that said that everything that you send into the service we will use to further train. That obviously raises concerns with an enterprise that, hey, is there a risk for me? And then when someone else is using that machine learning model, that sensitive data could get disclosed to someone else. So enterprises have rightfully so pushed back on those terms and conditions. Since then already we have seen the industry move towards stricter guarantees around privacy, security, and data governance. But in the limit, you will only get the most security and privacy sensitive organizations to sign off on using large language models over their proprietary data.
