Is There a Universal Condition of All People?
The jews had the complete revelation of god throughout the whole old testament as it had been revealed. They deviated from it and perverted it to the degree that they had an apostate form of judaism at jesus time. Even mc carthur would agree that not every single jew would fit this description. So how do you know if there's individual human responsibility, or if all those people who are declared righteous are righteous by some effectual work of grace? You don't unless you just assume it upon the text. That's how deep human blindness is.
