I Think the Future of Security Is in the AI Industry

Another area that I wish I saw more people going into is information security this is something that a couple of open philanthropy staff Luke Milhouser and Claire Zabel wrote about a while ago. Security can be a major issue like the AI systems themselves as if you kind of mess them up and they do end up with these bad goals you kind of want that to not immediately result in a security breach by the AI system. At some point we may need AI systems helping with security but I think just having lots of people who understand security and are good at making systems both practical and more secure could be incredibly important.
