The Strange Situation
Mary Ainsworth worked with Bolby at Johns Hopkins University and developed a famous experiment called the strange situation. It was basically a situation where you had a kid and their caregiver in a room for 21 minutes. Every time one of them would leave that was labeled as a conspicuous exit whatever that means. And how strongly they respond to everybody to the caregiver leaving to the stranger coming in, perhaps bonding some with the stranger or not.
