i'm very well aware that ordinary christians w have strong emotional social bonds and tendencies and habits. And often when i've said things about christianity, some people said, now theologians say this other thing - there's some truth tof that. What some people refer to is the flattening of theory u right? And because, frankly, cognitive load, most people are not going to be able to absorb all the details of mediaeval catholicism. In some sense, even in politics, the people who describe ideologies and who mulate them and explain them ad argue them to each other. It's more of a subset who are talking to each other, but not really influencing
