The Stoics' View of Virtue
The Stoics thought that you couldn't have one of them and not another. They talk about being locked in and solidified in place, like a puzzle with all the pieces interconnecting. One thing to do here is to distinguish the stoic view that virtue is the ultimate good from a subtly different view that there's a hierarchy of goods.
