Ikea out your house is cheaper in North America than it would be in Europe or Asia. But if you want to have a great apartment, spend a bunch of time with friends and not do any lifestyle overhead tasks, that kind of thing is really expensive. I think this is the thing that gets missed when people say like, oh, it's like cheap to live there. And so that's why, you know, you only move to Chiang Mai's so you can live for $1,000 a month.
