Open telemetry is being touted as the one to sandwich them all but i find it to be over presumptuous in many cases way too complex and hardly that much of a benefit over structured logging. I definitely resonate with it being a lot of boilerplate and overly complicated we made a move to move to that and abandon it because there's a lot sounds like the unpopular opinion is popular yeah.
