Los Lobos' La Bamba
The Estefans eventually replaced all of the original machine members, and their albums and singles began to feature Gloria's name alone. Los Lobos recorded a cover of La Bamba for the soundtrack to the Richie Valens biopic of the same name in the summer of 1987. They closed the song playing Mariachi-style traditional acoustic guitars. It remains the only all-Spanish number one hit in Hot 100 history.
