The Over Story by Barbara Kings Oliver

The over story is an invitation to read the book as a classic work of literary fiction that's immersed deeply in lives of individuals who seem to be making meaning in and for themselves. In some ways what I was doing in the over story was trying to return to that time and those places that knew that you could not tell a human story as if it were separate from the story of all the neighbors. This has never really been the case in world literary fiction until fairly recently within the last couple centuries in the post industrial west.
