Is There a Way Forward Party Can Make a Difference?
I think that in American constitutional history, there's certain issues that should be decentralized and decision making and given to local communities. There are some things that are a matter of principle like the equality of all human beings that's enshrined in our Declaration of Independence. And so if you exempt a certain category of fundamental rights-based issues, then I think absolutely you should give communities the opportunity to make their own decisions. It may mean that not everybody gets treated uniformly, but as long as you are providing the basic health care, the actual detailed way in which it's done could probably be left up to localities.
