Jacob: I think James Gunn understands this and he's the things that he's already discussed while pitching his vision for the DCU when they first announced it. Ben: The MCU is built entirely on a character on a journey that people liked and if James Gunn can do what you can do with Superman with whoever he casts is a new Superman. Jacob: There's no way he watches a movie and said yeah that's what I'm shooting for not a guy not a guy who made Guardians movies in the suicide squad which are really sound stories full of character arcs that make sense and satisfying payoffs.
